Weekly Market Update with Jane, February 19th
Net unconditional sales, comparatively, remains under last year’s day to day sales in February of 2017. And the active listing count is starting to rebound, which is a good thing for buyers as it’s offering more choice to them as they search the market. Seasonally, this is normal and is reflected in listing to pending percentage, which is 65% and is indicative of a sellers’ market. Cancelled and expired listings are up and may be a result of realtors re-listing and re-pricing homes to refresh days on market and bring homes to the attention of new buyers. Different areas experience different fluctuations in listing counts and buyers should consult a realtor for more information on their specific area of interest.
